One Last Walk

Since I rarely set up true self-portraits, shots you see if me in this blog are not strictly taken by me. I don’t care. This is probably one of my favorite shots of me and Araella; probably because it reminds me of when I was growing up and my dad would walk with me through the village in Sierra Leone, just like his father would walk with him him through the rural communities of eastern India when he was growing up in the late 40′s. It almost feels as if the road extends back in time, and if you could pan the camera you’d be able to look behind and see the footsteps of my father and my grandfather as they trudged along the same dusty path. And up ahead… somewhere lies Araella’s future on that veiled mountain. I can’t wait to discover what’s there.
